Is a classic baseball movie series about to get a fourth installment? The possibility is out there according to one of the stars of the original films.

Bob Uecker spoke to Tom Haudricourt about the chances for a fourth movie in the popular Major League series, and indicated that another movie could be in the works.

“They’re talking about it. Have asked me if I’d be in for it. I told them I would,” Uecker revealed.

Uecker of course portrayed drunken baseball announcer Harry Doyle in the original movies. “Juuuust a bit outside.” Who can forget that classic line?

Who can forget all those classic scenes from Major League 2 and Major League 3. Like…um…like…

Well, the first Major League was a lot of fun. Charlie Sheen before he became a complete mental case. Rene Russo (hot). The insurance commercial guy as Cerrano.

No not the one who was on 30 Rock, the other one. The guy who played the president.

Okay so the Major League trilogy wasn’t exactly classic cinema. But bringing it back for a fourth go-around could work. If they are able to re-assemble the original cast.

It’s just not Major League without Charlie Sheen, Corbin Bernsen, the insurance guy and of course Tom Berenger. I’m not sure how you can really work those guys into a baseball movie now since they’re all about 60. They’d have to be coaches.

But hey, that’s what writers are for, right? And computer wizards. If they can make Golum come to life, they can shave twenty years off Charlie Sheen.

Okay, ten.
