Recent reports of former NBA star Tracy McGrady’s intentions to become a minor league pitcher were met with skepticism if not downright ridicule.

Well I’ve got the answer for all you doubters out there. Don’t believe Tracy McGrady can pitch? Behold: Tracy McGrady. Pitching.

Listen to the hitters explain why Tracy McGrady might be a tough pitcher to face.

He’s so tall and long-armed, it feels like the ball is getting on you at 91 MPH, even if his actual velocity is only high 80s.

Plus there’s the Big Unit-like intimidation factor.

Okay I’m hanging the nickname on him right now: T-Unit. Roll with that, people.

Keep in mind, McGrady is not attempting to become a big leaguer here. His plan isn’t to be twirling for the Yankees in the World Series come October.

He just wants to throw in the minors. And he will get his chance. With his 87 MPH heater that looks 91.

Don’t ask me about his breaking stuff.
