The CBS hit Survivor had its season premiere tonight (or last might if you’re reading this in the morning hours) and one of the participants this season is David Samson, president of the Miami Marlins. Or shall I say was a participant.

So how did the first episode go for Samson? This tweet says it all…

Here’s Samson’s bio on the CBS website.

Not that Samson getting the boot before any of the others will have any correlation to how the Marlins will perform this season. Maybe Spencer is right and it will. Nah. I suppose taking the time off last summer for taping the show proved to be worth every minute.

Well, it appears that Samson has a penchant for running marathons and has even complete the grueling Ironman triathlon. According to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, Samson will hit the stage in the role of Lorne Michaels in “Not Ready for Primetime”. Michaels is considered the brain child of Saturday Night Live.

With all these activities, does he have time to be the Marlins president? Sure seems to have a lot on his plate. That or Samson has mastered time management.
