This play pretty much had everything.
It had Mike Trout spanking one.
It had Yasiel Puig going for the reckless dive and missing.
It had Trout trying to capitalize on Puig’s very Puig-like miscue by going for an inside-the-park home run.
It had Puig chasing down the ball and firing it to Hanley Ramirez who made the relay throw home to get Trout.
It had Mike Scioscia using a replay challenge.
It had the umps upholding the out call.
And it’s just spring training! Imagine how exciting the season is going to be if the fake games are this much fun!
Question: If this is a regular season game, does Scioscia burn his one challenge in the first inning? I shouldn’t think so.
