With a seven-year, $130 million deal, there will be even more pressure for Choo to produce as he did in 2013. That might be a tall ask. It might not help that there has been many thoughts that the Rangers overpaid in order to acquire Choo’s services.
The guy that left Cincy in favor of Arlington didn’t fare much better than his replacement. At least Choo didn’t have to don a golden sombrero, but Choo was hitless in 4 AB and only one whiff.
At least Choo got on base due to drawing a walk.
