So imagine you’re Jacoby Ellsbury. It’s opening day at Yankee Stadium, your first chance to walk onto the field at home in a Yankee uniform.

A huge day for you, donning the pinstripes for the first time in the ballpark that replaced the House that Ruth Built. Taking the field in front of your new home fans for the first time.

They say your name, everyone cheers, you look up and…

Oh, they’ve got your name misspelled on the scoreboard.

If I’m Jacoby Ellsbury, after the game I find the person responsible for spelling my name wrong on the scoreboard and choke them out.

Dead serious. That is a choke-them-out situation.

That person spoiled Jacoby’s big moment. They don’t get off with just a slap or a mean teacher ear twist. That’s a choke. Possibly even a nut squeeze.
