Grady Sizemore makes a valiant effort on this deep fly off the bat of Shin-Soo Choo, but is unable to make the grab. And gets a faceful of dirty old Fenway wall in the process.
Undeterred by his wallburger, Sizemore scrambles to his feet, picks the ball up and fires it in, but can’t prevent Choo from chugging into third for the three-bagger.
I’ll give Grady an A for effort but an F for result. And an F for style. And he might want to get a tetanus shot after striking his face on that gross padding.
Sizemore and the Red Sox would get the last laugh though, winning the game 5-1 for their first home victory of the season.
A home win for the Red Sox after the weekend sweep at the hands of the Brewers. Good show, chowds.
