One of the feel good stories from the offseason was that of Batkid. If you’re not familiar with the story of 5-year-old Miles Scott, aka Batkid, he is currently in remission from leukemia. The folks from the Make-A-Wish Foundation turned an comic book hero obsession – more specifically, Batman – into a major event. And deservedly so. For one day last November, San Francisco was transformed into Gotham City.
His story so touched many a heart that Stephen Amell, star of The CW’s Arrow, even had members of the cast make a video and Amell posted it on his Facebook page. (A recommended watch!)
Well, Batkid returned to AT&T Park yesterday (one of those he rescued during his day was Lou Seal) to throw the ceremonial first pitch for the Giants home opener.
I know it was a big deal for Seahawks fans to watchRussell Wilson to toss out the first pitch for the Mariners home opener (not so much for Dan). While I’m also a big Seahawks fan, I got to say that I enjoyed watching this even more.
