It’s been that kind of night in Philadelphia.
By the time Dan Uggla came up in the top of the ninth with the bases loaded and the Braves down 6-5, there had already been six homers in the game.
One by Uggla himself in the 8th inning as part of a back-to-back-to-back with Evan Gattis and Andrelton Simmons.
Great work by the Phillies bullpen.
So what has to happen in the ninth? Of course.
Uggla blasts one into the seats for a go-ahead grand slam.
That made it seven homers in the game. To that point.
As of this posting, the bottom of the ninth is not yet complete. There could be more homers. There could be more people screaming about terrible bullpen management.
There could be total chaos.
