Video: Travis Snider took a fly ball to the face
Most baseball players, when they go to make a play on a fly ball, they attempt to use their glove.
The Pirates’ Travis Snider bucked over a century of tradition Monday night by attempting to make the catch using his face.
It didn’t work out so well for him.
To make matters worse for Snider, the play had to be reviewed because the umps couldn’t tell if the ball was fair or foul.
So everyone got to watch Snider being hit in the face with a ball over and over.
This will hopefully teach Travis to try and get the glove between his face and the ball.
