Here is a recap of some weekly highlights from teams around the NL East.  Walk-offs and pitching dominance are surrounding this division this season.

Atlanta Braves

Evan Gattis had a walk-off home run against the Miami Marlins as Atlanta is in first place in the NL East.  Gattis has big shoes to fill after Brian McCann left town this off-season to join the New York Yankees, but highlights will this will make fans forget about McCann sooner rather than later.

Miami Marlins

Jose Fernandez handled the Braves as the Marlins’ star pitcher had 14 strikeouts vs their division rival.  Fernandez is one of the lone stars on the Miami team right now alongside MVP candidate Giancarlo Stanton.

New York Mets

Curtis Granderson gave the Mets a walk-off win vs the Braves.  The Mets are surprisingly above .500 and are still in the midst of a tight early NL East race.

Philadelphia Phillies

Cliff Lee had a stellar outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers this past week.  He has double-digit strikeouts in back-to-back games and is having another standout year on the mound.

Washington Nationals

Here is the President’s Race from April 23rd.  Teddy doesn’t have the record in these races, but he has a nice pair of boxing gloves… They don’t quite get job done though.
