A player that was supposed to be the answer this season for the Los Angeles Dodgers was Alex Guerrero, but he missed significant time after having a chunk of his ear bitten off by a teammate and losing the second base job to Dee Gordon in the spring. After not looking comfortable in the field, he has committed just five errors in 41 games over four positions in the minors this season. He had his nine-game hit streak snapped Tuesday, but he looks primed for a call-up.

Jesus Montero was recently awarded the player of the month in the Pacific Coast League, but he has struggled lately, hitless in his last four games and has not had a multi-hit game since July 22nd, a stretch of 16 games.

Rafael Montero has struggled in his big league appearances, but he was named the PCL pitcher of the week for this past week thanks to a one hit, eight inning outing where he did not allow a run and struck out eleven while walking just two.

Thomas Pham was named the player of the week as he has multi hit games in four of the past nine games, and at least one in seven of those games. Two of his nine home runs came last week and he has raised his average to .337 for the season.
