Major League Baseball on Snapchat
If you are into social media apps, you might have heard of Snapchat. It is an application on iOS and Android devices that allows users to take pictures and send them to friends. The pictures disappear after a few seconds. Users can take videos as well or post their pictures to a feed that lasts for 24 hours.
What does this have to do with baseball? Most Major League teams have Facebook and Twitter accounts, but Major League Baseball has its own Snapchat account that is pretty entertaining. The account has pictures of players, ballparks, and an assortment of unique photographs that are not usually shown in other places.
What is different about the Snapchat photos from MLB is that they draw on the pictures and add their own touch to them. A few days ago, the account posted a few pictures of players with their faces covered up with drawings, emojis, and decorations. Followers were asked to screenshot the photo if they could guess who the player was.
The pictures that the MLB Snapchat account posts are based on which game or ballpark the crew is at. A person must be present to take a photo or video and post it to Snapchat, so the pictures are limited to whichever stadium the crew is present. There are plenty of fun pictures that get posted – if you have a Snapchat account, you can follow the MLB feed by adding, “MLBofficial”. You won’t be disappointed by the content, and it only takes a few seconds to get some joy from a unique look at baseball.
