In terms of a beautiful city landscape in the backdrop, it might be tough beating seats at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. The Alleghany River flows beyond the confines of the right field fence. There’s also a bright yellow colored bridge, named after Pittsburgh Pirates great Roberto Clemente that links the ballpark to the downtown core.

Since moving into PNC Park from Three Rivers Stadium in 2001, fans have had nothing but praise for the park. Granted, Pittsburgh has the second fewest seats in their stadium versus the other 28 ballparks, but it makes up for it in other areas. For as low as $20 USD, you can typically find a seat out in right field.

Clemente wore jersey No. 21 for the Pirates’ franchise, patrolling right field for 17 seasons and just like the bridge named in his honor, the fence in right field is 21 feet high. In left field it is only six feet.

The Pirates team is finally winning again and tasting success that has not been seen in the normally football-crazed city since the 1990’s. PNC was the venue for the 2006 All-Star Game, saw its first no-hitter on September 28, 2012 and hosted its first postseason game the following October in 2013 versus the Cincinnati Reds. All in all, the ballpark has young and vibrant features, similar to the exciting product on the field. If you’re ever in the Steel City during baseball’s months, make your way down to PNC for a Primanti Bros. sandwich.
