The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox have had a heated rivalry for years and even fans of the Bronx Bombers have to admit that Fenway Park is a stadium to visit. There is a lot of history surrounding this ball park and the atmosphere in and around it is incredible. Yawkey Way is a great place to mingle with Bostonians before or after a game. The neighbourhood is littered with pubs to watch the game and have a cold one in as well.

There was a lot of history at the original Yankee Stadium, but since its destruction, Fenway Park has more prestige and allure. Fenway remains the oldest stadium in the Major Leagues as games have been played there since April 20, 1912. Everything about Fenway one can’t help but love.
Fenway has the Green Monster, the Citgo sign, the famous John Hancock sign out in center field and Pesky’s Pole in right field. The Fenway Frank is also a staple and should be purchased if you attend a game.
One of the cooler experiences fans can take in during a Red Sox game has to be the eighth inning singing of “Sweet Caroline” by recording artist Neil Diamond.
Prior to the 2004 season, there was not a lot to get excited about with the home team. However, since then they have won three World Series titles. You add the historic sights, sounds, nooks and crannies of Fenway with the successful team on the field and its lively fans, and Fenway is truly a great ballpark to witness a game in.
