Brock Holt is out of the lineup for the Boston Red Sox on Monday with a hyperextended left knee. He’ll be replaced in the lineup by Jemile Weeks, who makes her first start of 2015.
Holt left Sunday’s game against the Detroit Tigers after injuring the knee, and appears primed to return to the lineup tomorrow. The utility man has been filling in for starter Dustin Pedroia, who was recently placed on the disabled list with a right hamstring injury.
Holt has been a steady presence in the Red Sox lineup this year, hitting .284 with 16 doubles and four triples, and will be a welcome addition on Tuesday assuming he’s ready to go.
