Padres outfield Justin Upton has been pulled from San Diego’s game Wednesday night against the New York Mets. It’s unclear whether he has been traded, though Upton was reportedly a trade target of the Houston Astros along with Tyson Ross, who was also pulled tonight after five innings.
Ross was reportedly pulled as a precautionary measure with the Padres holding a big lead, but it’s hard not to speculate a deal for the starter could be coming with so many clubs vying for the his services.
