5. OF Angel Pagan – San Francisco Giants

Angel Pagan used to be a big part of what the Giants wanted to do offensively, but that’s not exactly the case anymore. He suffered through a dismal 2015 season, hitting .262 with three home runs and 37 RBI in 133 games. Now that the team has some outfield depth, he’s expendable.

Obviously, the Giants hope to be competitive this season, so Pagan isn’t going to be traded for prospects. Instead, he could be included as part of a bigger deal that includes prospects being sent from San Francisco, if the team is buying at the deadline.

The 34-year-old still has some value, but is unlikely to be as valuable to the Giants as he could be elsewhere. With Denard Span, Hunter Pence, and Gregor Blanco set to start in the outfield, Pagan will essentially be wasting away on the bench. They might as well get some value for him before he becomes a free agent.
