The Pawtucket Red Sox will be having a theme night to honor Tom Brady as he fights his four-game suspension handed down by the NFL.

Minor League Baseball is a place for players to develop their games before reaching The Show, but it is also a place that lives and dies on ticket sales.

Fun, quirky promotions are often put on in order to fill stadiums all around the country in small, sometimes remote, markets.

The Pawtucket Red Sox, aka the “PawSox,” are putting on an interesting promotion of their own.

On Friday, June 10, the team will be hosting a ‘Free Brady Friday’ in support of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Brady is set to serve a four-game suspension to start the 2016 NFL season for his alleged role in the infamous Deflategate scandal.

He is still fighting the suspension, but it seems like he will be serving it this season, as the fight is more out of principle and may drag on into the season.

The theme night will include free tickets for anyone named Tom or Brady, or perhaps even for Tom Brady himself if he wants to be the ultimate hero and show up to the game in support of himself.

Box seats will also be on sale for $12 in honor of the New England legend, who dons the number 12 for the Patriots.

The promotion is one that should do well, as anyone who owns a Tom Brady jersey in the area may show up as part of the peaceful protest against Roger Goodell and the NFL.

The PawSox are currently in last place in the International League North, but the promotion should help fill the stadium. The Boston Red Sox are doing so well that the PawSox’s record is likely of no concern to anyone who is a fan of the David Ortiz-led club.
