We’re not far removed from the Wilmer Flores fiasco. Thankfully the rumors linking Chapman to the Cubs didn’t reach that level.

Which should have raised eyebrows to begin with, while the Yankees are struggling it seems a bit earlier for them to begin selling off attractive targets. The Cubs do have a need for a left hand reliever with the struggles of Clayton Richard – however Chapman isn’t the best of fits in a tight knit Cubs clubhouse.
