(27-54). Previous: . Minnesota Twins. 30. team. 2. The Minnesota Twins are still a struggling baseball team with not much hope in sight for this season. Already 22 games out of the AL Central lead and 16.5 games back of a Wild Card spot, it is safe to say for this Twins team, the season is about getting young players all the time they can get on the field and as many at-bats as possible in preparation for the ’17 season. One plus is the Twins enter this week with two straight wins, but they are still in last place in the MLB Power Rankings.

Atlanta Braves. 29. team. 17. Like the Twins, the Atlanta Braves are working toward getting better for a different season, because the ’16 season, in terms of winning baseball games, won’t happen that often from here on out. Atlanta is 3-7 in their past 10 games, and being 21.5 games back of the Washington Nationals in the AL East and 16.5 games behind in the Wild Card race, at least Atlanta has a brand-new stadium to look forward to next season.. (28-54). Previous:

61. Though they did win in extra innings over the Washington Nationals on Saturday, this past week also saw the Reds swept by the Chicago Cubs, and they lost two of three to Washington. That’s not a great schedule to have during this season, and now the Reds start this week with three more against the Cubs and end the first half of the season in Miami. So yes, another tough week awaits.. (30-53). Previous: . Cincinnati Reds. 28. team

Previous: . Tampa Bay Rays. 27. team. 21. Tampa Bay is currently on a four-game losing streak and have won just twice in a 10-game stretch, leaving them in last place in the AL East with 33 wins and 48 losses overall. This past week, the Rays split a four-game series with the Red Sox, then lost three straight to the Detroit Tigers. Tampa Bay now faces the Angels for four straight games and will end the week with a three-game series with the Red Sox in Boston.. (33-48)

Previous: . Los Angeles Angels. 26. team. 102. We all know how easily the Angeles defeated the Red Sox on Saturday by a 21-2 score, but even that big win isn’t enough to overlook the fact Los Angeles is dead last in the AL West, and they lost five of six games played last week. As for the Red Sox series, they outscored Boston 30-17, but they won just the one game, so the 21-run game didn’t mean much more than just a single win in an otherwise terrible week.. (33-49)
