Cleveland Indians

While the Indians have surged to take a comfortable lead in the AL Central, they’re likely to fall back down to earth soon and will have to contend with the ever dangerous Kansas City Royals.

The Tribe currently have an outfield of Jose Ramirez, Rajai Davis and Lonnie Chisenhall as Michael Brantley continues to rehab from a shoulder injury. While Chisenhall has played admirably in right field, the 35-year-old Davis is best suited as a fourth outfielder.

Ramirez has proved to be one of the more consistent bats in the Indians lineup, but he’s best suited playing third base over Juan Uribe. Yeah, Juan Uribe.

While rookie Tyler Naquin has emerged as a productive outfielder, he’s only 23 and would only has 147 at-bats to his name in the majors.

Adding in CarGo gives the Indians a legitimate star in the outfield to pair with Brantley upon his return. The Indians currently rank 13th in home runs with 105 – and while that’s not bad, they would stand to benefit from Gonzalez’s presence in the middle of the order.

While the Indians seem to be the best option for CarGo, they also have enough prospects to get a deal done. With Naquin now entrenched at the major league level, he can be packaged in a deal as Cleveland has two other top outfield prospects in Bradley Zimmer and Clint Frazier.

Really, it’s take your pick for the Rockies. Throw in a pitching prospect like Justus Sheffield and a deal should be ready to go.
