As we approach the final month in the season, teams across the MLB are hoping for that one last push for the postseason. Which of these teams will be at the top of our power rankings?

We are now at the time of the year in the MLB season where teams begin planning for the final month. For those teams in contention, depending on how large of a lead they have, that may involve resting key players to keep them fresh for October. For those teams struggling, young players could get a majority of the playing time, as they look to see who an contribute going forward.

It is also a time where those teams on the fringes of the postseason look to make one final push to make the playoffs. One hot streak, coupled with a cold stretch from the teams ahead, could make a great deal of difference. Each game takes on an added significance, although it still accounts for only one game in the standings.

This is also a time when teams can crack under pressure. How many times in MLB history have we seen a team coast to a seemingly insurmountable lead throughout the regular season, only to fall apart down the home stretch? Will we see that again this year? Only time will tell.

So what teams are best positioned to make the postseason, and to do damage if they make it there? Let us find out by taking a look at our MLB Power Rankings heading into Week 21 of the season.
