With the Boston Red Sox postseason hopes getting stronger by the day, Hanley Ramirez is going on a hot streak at the right time.
Hanley Ramirez is getting hot at the right time for the Boston Red Sox. He has been enjoying a great two months of hitting for the Sox helping keep their already impressive lineup. The timing is perfect for Boston as they are in the middle of a tight division race as they are looking to clinch a division title this season.
Hanley is a player that has struggled in Boston, both with his hitting and staying healthy enough to be on the field at all. This season that has been different for the most part, especially for the last few weeks of this season.
Hanley’s resurgence adds yet another tough out to the Red Sox lineup. Their lineup may be the only one in the Major Leagues at this point that could rival the World Series favorite Chicago Cubs. David Ortiz and Mookie Betts are both enjoying seasons that are especially worth noting. It seems a bit of a passing of the torch almost from Ortiz to Betts.

Mookie Betts is the future face of the franchise, if he has not become so already. He is enjoying an MVP caliber season and one of the many tough outs in this Red Sox lineup. He is the one player that the Red Sox will count on picking up the slack that David Ortiz will leave when he retires at the end of this season.
Hanley Ramirez will be expected to continue his uptick in production as well to help with the void that David Ortiz will leave with the team. Ramirez is not scheduled to become a free agent until 2020 and will have plenty more seasons with the Red Sox.
His recent hot streak has seen Ramirez flash the power that was such a prominent part of his game just a few seasons ago. The recent home run binge has upped Hanley’s homerun total to twenty-six. That is the most he has hit in the last eight seasons and close to the last two season’s totals combined.

Hanley Ramirez has looked like the player that he was with the Florida (now Miami) Marlins and has given the Boston Red Sox hope that there will be more of the same in the seasons to come.
