Hurricane Irma has caused a lot of havoc and uprooted families across the southeastern part of the United States. The Atlanta Braves are finding a way to help bring an escape to the victims of the storm.
There is no questioning the effect that Hurricane Irma will have on the southeartern portion of the United States. It has already caused a great deal of destruction and death in the Caribbean, changing the lives of many in that area. Now, with its expected landfall and devastation that may come to Florida, residents throughout the state are being urged to head elsewhere for their safety.
For those being displaced, finding any semblance of normalcy can be important. To have a distraction while one’s life is falling apart can make a difference. The Atlanta Braves are offering just that to those being forced to leave their homes behind, with free admission during their four game set with the Miami Marlins.
In light of recent evacuation orders, we will honor this deal to residents of Georgia and South Carolina that are under evacuation orders. https://t.co/2nIgfNCxxI

This offer is not only being extended to the citizens of Florida, but also to those living in Georgia and South Carolina. In order to get those free tickets, all that one needs is a valid state ID showing that they are from one of those affected areas. Those people would then be able to get their complimentary ticket for the game.
It is a brilliant move on the Braves part. A goldmine for public relations, the Braves could also win quite a few fans from their actions. But most importantly, it gives those people fleeing the hurricane a place that they can escape to, spending a few hours to almost feel normal again.

Nothing will ever truly distract those forced to flee Hurricane Irma from thinking about the destruction back home. However, for a few hours, the Atlanta Braves can help those displaced feel a little bit better.
