Ryan Braun, Corey Knebel, and Hernán Pérez show their appreciation to 7,500 Milwaukee Brewers fans…
This trio of Brew-Crew teammates put their money where their mouth is, by doing more than just saying thank you to their fans, giving away 7,500 tickets for the Milwaukee Brewers final regular season home game, against divisional rival Cincinnati this afternoon.
The 2011 National League MVP, Ryan Braun, told the MLB.com Brewers website just how much he appreciates the Milwaukee faithful:
"Our fans are a big part of what we have accomplished this year… We wanted to do something out of the ordinary to show how much we truly appreciate them."

Those reasons aren’t entirely selfless, however, with big-time implications if the Brewers will partake in the winner take all one-game playoff, or if they will begin their off-season sooner than expected. A loud Miller Park has always provided the Braun and the Brewers with an additional spark:
"We’ve seen over two and a half million people come through the gates this year, and we want every one of them to know that their voices have been heard. We’re fighting hard to extend the fun here through October, and we know that this last home series will be a great environment for players and fans alike."
With the Chicago Cubs clinching the N.L. Central division last night in St. Louis, much to the dismay of Tommy Pham, who he himself is having a dream season, the Brewers now have their eyes set on the final Wildcard berth, where they trail the Colorado Rockies by 2.5 games.
After the Brewers finish this afternoon’s game with the Reds, they will travel to St. Louis for a three-game set against the Cardinals, who also have hopes of snagging that final Wildcard spot. If the Cardinals or Brewers want to have any chance of catching the Rockies, one of those two clubs needs to sweep the other, also getting a little help from the Dodgers who play in Colorado. Cardinals fans know that the Dodgers are of little help in that regard, who allowed the Giants to sweep them to close out the series, hindering them from reaching the 2016 Postseason. Both the Brewers or Cardinals, are hoping the Dodgers will be generous this time around with their efforts in the weekend series in Denver.
Once this weekend series is completed, we will see what X-factors won out, and what teams are primed to make that deep playoff run all the way to the Fall Classic.
