MLB: The Show 2018 has its cover man. And the winner is…
From Mr. Triple Crown himself, Miguel Cabrera to “The Kid” Ken Griffey Jr., baseball’s more prolific hitters have graced the cover of the most popular MLB video game on the planet, MLB: The Show.
For those who have the honor of making the cover of a video game –especially one like MLB: The Show — is career-defining, showing that you’ve made it. To be featured on the cover of the most famous baseball video game throughout the past decade, is nothing short of an honor.
Fans of MLB: The Show cast their votes in our online poll, with Jose Altuve as the winner.
However, the fans don’t get a vote, and we have a winner for the 2018 MLB: The Show featured cover. And the winner is….

Judge is going to run away with Rookie of the Year honors and was recently selected as an AL MVP award finalist. He hit a league-leading 52 home runs, drove in 114 runs, to go along with a solid .284 batting average.
The Yankees’ slugger is deserving of this accolade, but there is another who was even more so.
Once again, it shows that Altuve is overlooked and undervalued, where he should have been a shoe-in for the MLB: The Show cover privilege.
What about former NL MVP Clayton Kershaw? Pitchers deserve some love too, where either he or World Series legend Madison Bumgarner have been snubbed in the past also.
Although I felt that Altuve deserved the award over Judge, this is a sexy pic. I mean, chicks dig the long ball, right?

For me, the most fun is selecting a team that is at the very bottom –we are looking at you Detroit and San Francisco.
Who else is excited to hit 60 home runs of your own with the likes Judge or Giancarlo Stanton? Or better yet, choose the Astros in the franchise mode to prove all of the Altuve haters wrong.
I’m sure that there is no bad-blood with Altuve and MLB: The Show, where he is enjoying celebrating his 2017 MLB World Series title in style.
