San Francisco Giants Aubrey Huff Does Not Believe in Science
There is an amazing refusal to believe in science these days. We can add former San Francisco Giants and Tampa Bay Rays infielder Aubrey Huff to that list.
Over the past few years, there has been an amazing push to refute science. From our politicians to our celebrities, common knowledge and scientific fact have been deemed as “fake news.” Kyrie Irving believes the Earth is flat. Former outfielder Carl Everett does not believe in dinosaurs, and thinks fossil evidence was “created by man.” Now, we can add former San Francisco Giants and Tampa Bay Rays infielder Aubrey Huff to the list of science deniers.
Huff has essentially determined that evolution does not exist. In a series of tweets, he refutes any fossil evidence to the contrary. As for his rationale, let Huff explain in his own words.

Granted, evolution has not been proven. It is still a theory, much like gravity, Einstein’s thoughts on relativity, or the Pythagorean Theorem (literally the only use I’ve had for that since high school). However, these other theories are essentially accepted as fact. After all, refusing to believe in gravity does not let one float off into the atmosphere.
It is perfectly acceptable for Huff to believe in what he wants to, provided he is not harming anyone. Everyone has the right to their own opinions on various matters. But to just outright deny the existence of something just because it does not fit into one’s value system does not change reality.
Former San Francisco Giants and Tampa Bay Rays infielder does not want to believe in science. That does not change the fact that it exists.
