Miami Marlins rumors surface on who Giancarlo Stanton will waive his trade clause for, and it’s just one team, for now, that is.

Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton may be heading out west, with the Los Angeles Dodgers emerging as the new front-runners for the prized star, according to new Miami Marlins rumors.

According to recent reports, Giancarlo Stanton will waive his no-trade clause for only the Los Angeles Dodgers at this time.

The rich get richer if these Miami Marlins rumors come to fruition. If it weren’t for a hot and surging Houston Astros team, the Los Angeles Dodgers would have won the 2017 World Series. The Dodgers came within nine innings of doing so, even against that loaded roster.

Giancarlo Stanton has enough cash to leisurely roll around in for 1,000 lifetimes, with this massive contract the Los Angeles Dodgers will have to pick up if they want the 2017 NL MVP.

Ironically, the laser shot was not a home run so, feast your eyes upon the 59 long bombs from his 2017 MVP campaign.

I don’t know about you, but I can watch these moon shots over and over again. In fact, I believe I will do so right now.

The only downside — and I emphasize only — is the assortment of fluke injuries for Stanton in his short career.

  • 2011 Games Missed: 11 – Right hamstring strain, quadriceps strain
  • 2012 Games Missed: 36 – Right knee injury/abdominal strain
  • 2013 Games Missed: 44 – Right hamstring strain/left shoulder soreness
  • 2014 Games Missed: 17 – HBP/severe facial fracture
  • 2015 Games Missed: 92 – Left-hand fracture
  • 2016 Games Missed: 43 – Left-hand fracture

Back to 2018 and beyond. Giancarlo Stanton grew up in Los Angeles, so joining his “hometown” team could be a dream come true.

The Miami Marlins rumors regarding Stanton continue to surge, making this the talk of the MLB “hot stove” season.

The Miami Marlins are in no rush, so if I were them, I would take my time. On the flipside, if I were the Los Angeles Dodgers, time is of the essence. Making this deal happen would not only make them the clear 2018 frontrunners in MLB, but for years to come.

Especially with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies making a charge, they need to prepare for 2018 and beyond. No better place to start than with Giancarlo Stanton; who is the best overall player in the game.
