Marlins rumors surface that slugger Giancarlo Stanton may be traded as early as this week.
Miami Marlins rumors keep stirring up in regards to their prized possession Giancarlo Stanton. Sports Illustrated reports that both the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals have both met face to face with the 2017 NL MVP.
With their rivalry continuing even off the field, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants keep trading blows in their pursuit of Stanton.
This can obviously change as it goes, but Giants expect a Stanton decision by the end of the week. I'm hearing they continue to view Dodgers, not Cardinals, as biggest threat.

The Dodgers best not sleep on the St. Louis Cardinals, or, the Arch City could have a new resident. I’m sure Tommy Pham would be more than happy to pick Stanton up at the airport, where he recently expressed his excitement at the possibility of landing the 2017 NL MVP.

Former St. Louis Cardinals All-Star Matt Holliday also gave his pitch to Stanton, expressing the opportunity of a lifetime that playing in baseball heaven provides.

Giancarlo Stanton would also be the missing link within in their lineup, and outfield, pushing the Cardinals as heavy favorites in the NL Central if this trade comes to fruition.
With a plethora of young talent in both the Minor League farm system and with the big league club, the St. Louis Cardinals would likely have to part ways with one (or more) of these youngsters.

Marlins rumors also have been flying around that they are looking for aspiring teams to front $250 million of the $325 million “bill”, the only reason they are trading Giancarlo Stanton in the first place.

Miami Marlins rumors could be, well, just rumors. It’s likely they will take their time in dealing Stanton, wanting to milk him for every bit of money he is worth.
However, if the St. Louis Cardinals cover that portion of his contract and dangle some of their top young talent, it may be too much for the Marlins to pass up.
