This whole Miami Marlins fiasco between Derek Jeter and Marlins Man is strange, to say the least.
Derek Jeter. Captain of THE New York Yankees for over 10 seasons. 5-time World Series champion and 2000 Fall Classic MVP. A member of the 3,000 hit club. 14-time American League All-Star. Now, co-owner and CEO of the Miami Marlins.
Kristof Harris. LSU fan. Marlins’ ticket holder since 1993. And… Well. That’s about it. Somehow he has developed the nickname “Marlins Man” a title that has stuck with him for several years now.
With that name, apparent entitlement has come with it, where Marlins Man was not invited to the Miami Marlins town hall meeting facilitated by Derek Jeter, earlier this week. If you even care, learn about the origins of this Marlins Man.
After causing a tremendous uproar, Marlins Man receives a phone call shortly after from the Miami Marlins organization with an invitation to the event.
Well, hard to argue with the quality of the Miami Marlins team, so Marlins Man is spot on with this statement.
We are just getting warmed up though, with Marlins Man bringing with him to the town hall meeting a list of demands — or requests.
Really? Offer from four other teams. What exactly did they offer you, Marlins Man?
Is this real life? An everyday fan “requesting” an actual “day” from the myth, the man, the legend Derek Jeter? Crazy!
Marlins Man even pulls the “do you know who I am” card next, which is delusion at best.
Credit to Derek Jeter for rolling with the punches, and being classy during these crazy shenanigans of Marlins Man.
Marlins Man then takes the floor, going on and on for almost five minutes.
The Yankees legend did not miss a beat during this whole exchange, with zinger after zinger, keeping the audience entertained in the process.
Picturing Derek Jeter riding around that ridiculous vehicle is just surreal. He seems to be speechless after this exchange. In shock. Just like the rest of us following every step of this bizarre get together.

If the quality of play on the field for the Miami Marlins is subpar, at least Marlins Man is worth the price of admission. Don’t ask us, ask him. Well, that ‘s if he’s good enough to renew his season tickets, that is.
