Former MLB star Darryl Strawberry confesses that he indeed had sex during MLB games.
When Darryl Strawberry broke onto the MLB scene, his raw talent rivals and even trumps that of Bryce Harper‘s initial hype.
Strawberry achieved four World Series titles in his career, none better than leading the New York Mets to an improbable championship in 1986.
However, Strawberry’s demons overwhelmed that incredible ability, hindering a career which was on pace to be Hall of Fame worthy.
“In the middle of games, yeah, I would go between innings, and stuff like that, and run back and have a little party going on.”
Drug addiction, and come to find out a sex addiction, plagued Darryl Strawberry throughout his 17 year MLB career.
The urge escalated to the point that Darryl Strawberry would even have sex between innings of MLB contests.
He also tasked “dugout” attendants to find willing women to do the dirty deed.
He admits that he had no control over his actions at times, allowing these addictions to consume him from the inside out.
"“It’s a behavior that’s not good for anyone… When you have an addictive personality — like addicts, and alcoholics, and sex addiction — it’s an addictive personality.”"
Strawberry’s addictive lifestyle eventually led to him hitting rock bottom, but he did not stay there for long.
In fact, Strawberry’s not allowing the skeletons in his closet to define his life, using his past failures in reaching out to others with similar struggles.

Back in 2015, Darryl Strawberry approached former Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom, who also had a severe drug addiction, nearly killing the NBA star.
No doubt that Strawberry saw much of himself in Odom, whose raw ability was similar to his.
Now, he’s using his most significant failure in life to help others in need. Failure. Folly. Disappointment is life’s most excellent teachers.
Strawberry attributes his turn around to an arrest in 1999, where he was booked for possessing cocaine, and making sexual advances to an undercover police officer.
Shortly after, Strawberry gives credit to a newfound faith in God and a community of like-minded folk in saving him from himself. From the demons which haunted his soul.
