Braves rumors: Yelich, Realmuto on their way to Atlanta?
Braves rumors surface that Atlanta Braves have shown interest in Miami Marlins young stars, Christian Yelich and J.T. Realmuto.
Atlanta Braves rumors surface that the Miami may be willing to deal more of their young talent away, this time to their in-division rivals — or at least the Braves hope. Centerfielder Christian Yelich and catcher J.T. Realmuto are names linked in early rumblings, pieces the Braves so desperately need.
The Braves have contacted the Marlins to express interest in trading for outfielder Christian Yelich and catcher J.T. Realmuto.
Who wouldn’t be interested in these two young guns? Christian Yelich has been rock steady in his short time in the MLB — .290/.369/.432 with enough speed and pop to be a 20/20 guy. Yelich is coming off his two most productive seasons in 2016 and 2017, where the youngster is likely to improve upon his stellar numbers in 2018 and beyond.

J.T. Realmuto is still a hidden gem in MLB, somehow. Solid behind the plate, the catcher also is one of the most productive players in all of MLB since his arrival — .280/.322/.451. He was robbed of an All-Star appearance in 2016, but maybe a change of scenery, playing on a contender or even an up and coming team like the Braves, will finally garner him the recognition he deserves.
Unfortunately for the Atlanta Braves, they have two primary factors working against them. One, they lack the Minor League depth the Miami Marlins are seeking. Also, the Marlins may be weary in sending the two studs to a familiar team.
While the talks have yet to advance, there’s little doubt that the Braves have the prospect depth to entice their National League East rival.
Nevertheless, the Braves need to be persistent in their negotiations with the Marlins, who have sent off Giancarlo Stanton and Marcell Ozuna, to name a few, without receiving much in return. Atlanta needs to take advantage of the Marlins’ recent generosity.

Now, these Atlanta Braves rumors may be, well just rumors. But, isn’t that the fun and beauty of the hot-stove season? However, the Braves aren’t playing around, who are looking to add these two critical pieces to their already loaded, young talent.
