NEW YORK, NY - MAY 28: Keith Hernandez

Former New York Mets and MLB great, Keith Hernandez, is getting himself into more trouble, with his cell phone striking back. Again.

New York Mets great and now commentator Keith Hernandez has a knack for comedy, even appearing in the hit sitcom Seinfeld back in the day. However, his comedic ventures are now at his own expense, due to his elusive cell phone device.

While a member of the broadcasting crew during the 2017 World Series, Keith Hernandez lost his cell phone, which naturally broke the Twitter-verse in the process. Thanks to the help of gracious MLB fans, Hernadez reunited with his long lost friend.

Naturally, his smartphone has struck back once again, this time during a live television broadcast of a Spring training game between the New York Mets and the New York Yankees.

Fortunately for Hernandez, his ringtone boasts one of the primary formats and nothing too embarrassing, but his broadcasting compadres didn’t let him off the hook so easily.

“London Calling. That’s a great album by The Flash.”

Of course, Hernandez couldn’t figure out how to operate the silence button on his device, and his ringer went off again. Oh, Keith.

Of course, Hernadez rolled with the punches, knowing he would be the victim of social media once again — which was the case.

Ironically, thanks to technology, a commentary is now done on the commentators themselves. What a world we live in, isn’t it? MLB fans weren’t done, roasting Hernandez some more.

Yep. Of course, Hernandez’s phone is pink. Maybe he’s just an Aerosmith fan?

“Pink is my favorite color.”

We saved the best Tweet for last, with this MLB fan getting in this fantastic zinger.

A rough day at the office for Hernandez, for sure. But, nothing phases him, with Hernandez comfortable in his own skin. He has a new autobiography in the works titled… Wait for it… ” I am Keith Hernandez. Because of course, that is the name of Hernandez’s memoirs.

The New York Mets have a gem in Keith Hernandez, a diamond in the rough to be exact. I don’t know about you all, but I cannot wait to pick up his autobiography. There is no doubt in my mind that his precious — insert Gollum voice — will have it’s very own chapter or even full-section.
