MLB is accusing the New York Yankees and Aaron Judge of tampering with the Baltimore Orioles regarding Manny Machado.

It’s no secret the New York Yankees are back to their old ways, of ruling the MLB galaxy as the “evil empire.” However, one key part missing in their quest for galaxy domination is a reliable presence at the hot corner.

Recently, Aaron Judge expressed his interest in filling that very void, telling reporters earlier in the week of who would fit that very need like a glove — Manny Machado.

“Adding him to our lineup that we already got would be something special. I told him he’d look good in pinstripes.”

Naturally, MLB was all over this, accusing the reigning AL Rookie of the Year of “tampering.”

“We have been in contact with the Yankees. They communicated to us that Mr. Judge’s off the cuff comments were not appropriate and not authorized by the club. They will speak to him to make sure that this does not happen again.”

Are you freaking kidding me?! Tampering? What a joke. Is the MLB turning into the “No fun league” like the NFL? Heaven forbid, letting Aaron Judge answer questions transparently, having a bit of fun in the process.

What a bunch of hypocrites. Aren’t you the same powers-to-be who turned a blind eye to the use of PEDs for years? Or, letting All-Star games end in ties.

Instead of generating a witch hunt on one of your prominent cash cows, why don’t you focus your attention to more pressing matters?

Such as charging fans their first born child to take their family to see a game, why don’t you worry about lowering costs for families trying to meet ends meet? Or, not selling a two-day-old hot dog for $6?

But I digress…

Aaron Judge is a polarizing figure, both on and off the diamond. If he wants to talk about his buddy Manny Machado donning the classic New York Yankees pinstripes, then let him. That is not tampering, so back off.
