A young Los Angeles Dodgers fan is quite concerned about Justin Turner’s injury, and is looking to help.

Small children can be very empathetic, looking to help out others when they are hurt or depressed. Even if they do not entirely understand what is wrong, they are aware that, on some level, just being there can help. And, let us not forget their offers to help with whatever is wrong. That was the case with a two year old Los Angeles Dodgers fan when he heard about Justin Turner‘s broken wrist.

Knowing only that Turner was hurt, and not really understanding the severity, the toddler wanted to help in the best way he knew how. He offered to kiss the “boo-boo” better, knowing that it helps when he is hurt.

Unsurprisingly, this offer has drawn a lot of attention. It has been picked up by several networks, as well as MLB.com and other news sites. The offer even drew the attention of Turner himself, brightening up his day. In exchange for the medical attention, he has offered the family tickets to his first game back on the diamond, helping pay for his portion of the services rendered.

Perhaps this offer can help get Turner back on the field sooner. The Dodgers would certainly accept that, given his excellent performance over the past few years. That continued in 2017, when Turner produced a .322/.415/.530 batting line, with 21 homers and 31 doubles. Add in his excellent glove work, and his presence will be missed in the lineup.

Along the way, Turner is also set to make a lifelong fan. Even though the child may not remember much of his time at the ballpark for Turner’s first game back, there will be plenty of pictures. There may even be the chance to meet the Dodgers All Star third baseman, an experience that is worth far more than the tickets.
