This week, the MLB Power Rankings have had to deal with weather, postponed games, and entire divisions taking the day off. And that was just on Sunday.

In theory, as the season continues on, the easier it is to determine the MLB Power Rankings. There is more of a track record, as teams get back to their actual level of ability. Hot and cold starts are minimized, as teams inch closer to being what they will be over the course of the year.

At least, that is the theory. Instead, weather can play a major factor, as it has this week. Already, 21 games have been postponed, just four away from the total for 2017. The Twins and White Sox essentially were able to take the weekend off, as their games from Friday on through Sunday were postponed. Start the season early for more off days, they said…

Even with the season starting and stopping due to frigid weather and snow, there are some teams whose performances have been surprising. The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to struggle, while the crosstown Angels have been one of the better teams in the league. The Braves offense has been impressive, while the Royals offense has been a disaster.

How do these performances shake up the MLB Power Rankings this week? Let’s take a look and find out.
