The St. Louis Cardinals call up one of their top prospects in their farm system, Tyler O’Neill, who is a real-life Superman.

When you’re ready, you’re ready, and the St. Louis Cardinals are not messing around, calling up one of their top prospects in Tyler O’Neill from Triple-A Memphis. Why make this move, though?

Why not? Tyler O’Neill is flat out mashing in Memphis, with a slash line of .388/ .385/ .837, six home runs, 18 runs driven in, 13 runs scored, and five bases stolen — in only 12 games and 52 plate appearances.

Yeah, I’d say he’s ready for “The Show.”

The St. Louis Cardinals acquired outfielder Tyler O’Neill during the middle of last season, for pitcher Marco Gonzalez. A trade unpopular at the time, the St. Louis Cardinals organization is proving once again that they are one step ahead of us all.

I’m confident that Tyler O’Neill is stronger than us all, who may be the strongest man in all of baseball, including MLB. Check out this work of art from a few years back.

The footage is from three years ago, but dude squatted nearly 600 pounds. Like father, like son; Tyler O’Neill’s father Terry was a professional bodybuilder in the 1970’s. Now, Terry’s son is taking those skills to the MLB level, where it’s paid off thus far in his young baseball career.

Oh, Canada!

Tyler O’Neill is now the sixth Canadian-born player currently on an MLB roster, joining the likes of Joey Bats,” Joey Votto in the big leagues. I’m eager to see the two meet in their next contest, where Joey Votto will likely welcome the newbie with open arms!

He showcased his talents in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, where he played for the Candian squad. He (literally) bleeds Canadian, with a sweet Mapleleaf tattoo on his arm.

Once Tyler O’Neill got the call, he could care less that he was running on fumes when arriving at Wrigley Field, and he could care less — in a recent interview with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

“I’ll tell you what. I would run on no sleep if it meant getting that call again.”

St. Louis Cardinals Mike Matheny was in awe of Superman, Paul O’Neill‘s unique talents, and abilities.

“That quick twitch. How he pops up and moves around. You see someone as muscular as him and it doesn’t normally move like that. Pretty amazing, actually.”

The entire world will soon learn of his greatness, and what a place to do so in Wrigley Field — if he gets the call into the lineup today in the hitter-friendly ballpark on the Northside of Chicago.
