After a busy first month of April, who has really played well in minor league baseball? We look at the leaders at each level.

As part of our coverage of minor league baseball at Call To The Pen, we will have a monthly review of where the leaders in minor league baseball sit!

These statistics will be taken from Baseball References minor league leaderboard on a monthly basis and drawn for year-to-date numbers, then we will also have a specific team each month to celebrate the top performers around minor league baseball by position.

We will start with the leaders overall across minor league baseball:
(rate leaders for hitters are minimum 100 ABs, which is why league leaders will have different numbers)
AVG: Tony Kemp, AAA Fresno, .330
OBP: Tony Kemp, AAA Fresno, .424
SLG: Edward Olivares, high-A Lake Elsinore, .461
R: Raimel Tapia, AAA Albuquerque, 24
H: Daniel Castro, AAA Albuquerque, 37
2B: Austin Allen, AA San Antonio, and Sean Murphy, AA Midland, 12
3B: Forrest Wall, high-A Lancaster, 5
HR: Jabari Blash, AAA Salt Lake, and Chris Carter, AAA Salt Lake, 9
RBI: Chris Carter, AAA Salt Lake, and Juan Soto, low-A/high-A Hagerstown/Potomac, 29
SB: Rudy Martin, high-A Wilmington, and Myles Straw, AA Corpus Christi, 14
BB: Ryan Noda, low-A Lansing, 27
W: 12 with 4
S: Nate Griep, AA Biloxi, 8
IP: Brady Puckett, AA Jacksonville, 32
K: Zac Lowther, low-A Delmarva, 39

Without any pitchers having enough decisions to qualify, Baseball Reference doesn’t list any qualifiers for rate stats for pitchers, so we don’t have any current listed leaders for ERA, WHIP, K/9, or K/BB, but those will be included in months going forward.

Now let’s get those leaders by league!
