Even though the 2018 season has just begun, its never too early to look ahead. A wealth of elite players will hit the MLB Free Agency market following the season’s end, barring extensions. Some of those names have been off to fantastic starts.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before. The 2018-19 MLB Free Agency class is going to be legendary.
Chances are you’ve heard this prediction. Well, actually it’s not really a prediction. Rather, it’s more of a fact. It’s going to be loaded. But, we already knew this. We know that there will be some serious star power in the upcoming free agent class.
You better believe that teams are scouting every single soon-to-be free agent, too. It doesn’t matter that impending FA Neil Walker is hitting .171, he’s being looked at.
Then, on the other hand, you have guys like Clayton Kershaw, who are always being looked at. The 30-year-old may or may not be signed long-term by the Los Angeles Dodgers, but boy, if he doesn’t, chaos will ensue.
That’s the case for a lot of these guys. Teams will be in bidding wars to gain the services of potential game changers. Though it may come as a surprise to you, Bryce Harper, who might command the largest contract in the sport, won’t be on the list.
This list is about which impending free agents that have played the best so far in 2018. Let’s take a look.
