At Call to the Pen, we want to ensure every MLB team is getting coverage, and that you’re well-informed as the reader! As part of that, we will be including a daily piece into our collection with all of the previous night’s scores at the major league level, the schedule for the upcoming day at each minor league level along with the previous day’s best performers, and a bit of history/birthdays at the very end.

Without further adieu, let’s begin!

MLB Scores

New York Mets 4, Arizona Diamondbacks 1 in New York – It took a while for the Mets offense to break through, but once they did, the Mets pounded the Diamondbacks bullpen for 3 runs in the 7th inning to secure the win for Noah Syndergaard, who threw a masterful game.

Chicago Cubs 6, Cincinnati Reds 1 in Cincinnati – Yu Darvish allowed a run in the bottom of the first inning, but that was all that he would give the Reds on the day, while the Cubs put up a half dozen runs on the Reds pitchers.

Oakland Athletics 9, Toronto Blue Jays 2 in Toronto – The A’s offense exploded for 4 runs in back-to-back innings in the 5th and 6th innings to support starter Daniel Mengden as the Blue Jays didn’t get on the board until the bottom of the 9th.
