St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas joins in on the Redbirds record-setting fun, with a performance of a lifetime against the Kansas City Royals.

Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals, provided fans with another magical night in the Arch City on Monday evening. Former St. Louis Cardinals World Series MVP David Eckstein was in town, with his wife Ashley Eckstein — known for voicing the iconic Star Wars character Ahsoka Tano and creating the company Her Universe. A magical night in baseball Heaven!

The power-couple is in the midst of a nationwide book tour promoting Ashley Eckstein’s book; It’s Your Universe: You Have the Power to Make it Happen. The theme of the book is to dream it and do it, inspiring readers through Her’s and David Eckstein’s life journey — which is a magical story of its own.

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas is done dreaming and is now doing it in the big leagues, with a stellar start to the 2018 campaign.

In the St. Louis Cardinals rich and controversial history against the Kansas City Royals, Miles Mikolas accomplished something that no other Redbird pitcher had done against their in-state rivals — throwing a complete game shutout.

Miles Mikolas was dealing Monday night, undoubtedly impressing St. Louis Cardinals great David Eckstein who witnessed this incredible performance alongside nearly 42,000 fans.

Who would have thought that Miles Mikolas and his transition from playing in Japan the past few seasons would translate to a 6-0 start to his season and the sixth-best ERA in all of MLB? The St. Louis Cardinals organization did, who’s keen eye for diamonds in the rough being prevalent over the recent years.

Miles Mikolas is joining in on the record-breaking action, with Alex Reyes setting records in his rehabilitation start in Springfield a few nights back and Jordan Hicks with his 105 MPH heat baffling Philadelphia Phillies hitters on Sunday — with some of the fastest pitches thrown in MLB recorded history. 

Even though 2018 is an injury-plagued affair for the St. Louis Cardinals, their starting pitching is carrying the load and boasts as one of the best in all of MLB.
