The Baltimore Orioles have been a disaster this season. For as bad as they have been, do they have a chance to be the worst team in MLB history?

It is easy to look upon the Baltimore Orioles and wonder whether or not things will get better this season. They currently hold a 20-50 record, losing their 50th game before they earned their 20th victory. Chris Davis has been historically awful. The pitching staff is a mess. Manny Machado, Danny Valencia, and Adam Jones are the only players that have had above average production in the lineup, and are all likely to be traded during the summer.

If anything, it may be possible that the Orioles season gets worse this year. Not only will that trio of players likely be sent elsewhere, but Zach Britton and Brad Brach could be moved as well. The Orioles struggles, both on offense and with their pitching staff, will be magnified.

As the Orioles are in the midst of their race to the bottom of the standings, it begs to ask how their season will stack up compared to the worst years in MLB history. While the Orioles have had their struggles, they still have a lot of work to do in order to be that worst team of all time.

How do the Baltimore Orioles stack up? First, let us look at how their performance could shake out over the course of the season.
