Both leagues have changed a lot since Opening Day, but which one of them is leading the pack as we head into the dog days of August?

Welcome back, baseball. This season, you have given us the classics, like the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry. You have given us heartache, like Corey Seager‘s injury. And you have given us triumph, like James Paxton‘s no-hitter against the Blue Jays.

What’s next?

Well, we may not know what kind of heroics that baseball has in store for us yet, but we do know where each team stands heading into the second half of the season.

Some teams have surprised us, like the Mariners and the A’s. Others have left us curious, but confident, like the Dodgers and the Indians. Then there are the teams that have left us with an undeniable feeling that a rebuild is on the horizon, like the O’s and the Marlins.

That said, we have witnessed some great baseball in 2018, and there is still plenty left to play. Who will win their division? Who will end up with the top draft pick in 2019?

With the regular season now on the fast track to October, we take a look at who the strongest teams are after leaving D.C.
