The weather delayed Kyle Wright‘s first AAA start to Friday, and he made it worth the wait, keeping hitters at bay throughout his performance, going 5 2/3 innings without allowing a hit, though he did have some control issues that allowed 2 runs to cross the plate with 4 walks and a hit batter.

Chuck Taylor was originally drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks out of high school in the 4th round in 2012. This is now his second season with the Mariners AA club, and he’s hitting for a solid average and on-base on the season. Friday, he powered out a home run for the Travelers in his only hit of the game.
