Amazon’s Jack Ryan has more to offer than just his elite spy skills. He’s also pretty good at fantasy baseball.

Question, if Zack Greinke is pitching at SunTrust Park and is on a tear, but Dallas Keuchel is also pitching, who do you pick for your fantasy team?

Jack Ryan, played by John Krasinski, says Keuchel.

I mean, it’s obvious, isn’t it? SunTrust Park gives up more home runs than the home of the Astros and okay maybe it’s not that obvious, proving that Jack Ryan is not your average baseball fan. That’s good, it adds another layer to an already riveting character.

Dallas Keuchel even tweeted out the clip, saying he “didn’t even know it was coming,” but praised  Krasinski’s delivery.

For the first time in a while, baseball is being incorporated into popular television. It’s been almost two years since we’ve seen a show focused on baseball or, like Jack Ryan, focused on a character that likes baseball. “Pitch” the Fox drama about the first female baseball player to be called up to the majors was canceled after one season (still a little heartbroken about that one). In its 10 episode run, however, “Pitch” gave baseball fans another reason to love the game, and was an all-around well-written show.

That, and the fact that Mark-Paul Gosselaar as veteran catcher Mike Lawson was the character we never knew we needed.

There is not a lack of sports talk in prime-time television, but it’s always fun, surprising even. We’ve seen it before, with Andy Dwyer of Parks and Recreation making known his love for the Indianapolis Colts and Jerry Seinfeld’s love of the New York Mets.

Amazon’s Jack Ryan could serve as a catalyst for outspoken sports fans in drama and comedy series’. It’s a show with a hero that believes in more than just saving the world (although, saving the world is not the worst thing to hope for). In Amazon’s iteration of Jack Ryan, Krasinski’s character believes in baseball and the statistics that drive the game we love.

Next. Rosario enjoying breakout for Mets. dark

I just have one question; if it were between Kershaw and Scherzer, who would Jack Ryan pick?
