On Saturday, Justin Verlander and Kate Upton welcomed their first baby to the world. The starting pitcher for the Houston Astros shared pictures on social media.

Justin Verlander and Kate Upton are Major League Baseball’s power couple. The World Series-winning pitcher married the magazine-covering supermodel in 2017, shortly after the Houston Astros took home their World Series trophy.

Since then, the couple has been seen together at runway events, Astro’s games, and even together on the Tonight Show. Even though the Houston Astros were not able to defend their World Series title in 2018, Justin Verlander was able to win the weekend with his families latest announcement.

It has been a little over a year since their wedding, but Verlander and Upton are continuing to show why they are baseball’s dominant power couple. On Saturday, the couple announced that their daughter, Genevieve Upton Verlander, had been born. Verlander shared this heartwarming photo on Instagram.

Congratulations to both parents and welcome, Genevieve!

Justin Verlander has had a busy last year and a half. Prior to his trade to the Houston Astros, there were talks of how he was on the back nine of his career.

Since arriving in Houston, Verlander has pitched like his younger self, won a World Series trophy, married a supermodel, and started a family.

The Houston Astros are in an odd spot in their offseason. The club could lose Dallas Keuchel and Charlie Morton to free agency and has already lost Lance McCullers to Tommy John surgery. We are left to wonder, could Genevieve join her dad in the Astros’ starting rotation? With her dad’s baseball genes, I would not be surprised!

Next. Correa has offseason surgery. dark

As cute as this would be, the answer is probably no… But with the rest of the team’s talent, it is reasonable to assume that the father, daughter tag team of Justin and Genevieve could still lead the Astros back into the Playoffs!

This will be an interesting story to follow…
