The NL West was a snooze-fest at the Winter Meetings. It’s almost as if the GMs in the West were angry that the meetings didn’t give them a chance to travel to a different time zone. But, there was that one acquisition …

Rockies

Nothing.

Grade: F

D-backs

Nothing.

Grade: F

Dodgers

It probably felt good to stick it to the Red Sox as they outbid them by offering one extra year to reliever Joe Kelly. He made a big difference in the Red Sox winning the World Series, maybe he’s the piece the Dodgers need to finally get a ring in the 21st Century. They also hired Jeff Kingston as a Vice President and Assistant GM.

Grade: B+ (for slightly better than Boston)

Padres

Nothing.

Grade: F

Giants

This team full of old-timers needs some refreshing. So, they did about the most boring thing they could, claim a guy that wasn’t good enough for the 2019 Tigers: outfielder Mike Gerber.

Grade: D-
