The reigning NL Central champion Milwaukee Brewers are still in good shape for 2019. They are looking to patch up a few things, but they will be making another run at the crown.
It is not secret that the glaring issue on the roster is the lack of top of the line starting pitching. As it stands now, Jhoulys Chacin will be getting the ball on Opening Day. So, their clear wish list item is Dallas Keuchel.

It is known that Keuchel is on their radar, they just need to make the move on him soon. Having Dallas at the top of the rotation will do wonders for the Brewers.
That bullpen is a dominant force, they just need an upgrade in the guys who get there. That rotation is not playoff ready, but it really isn’t that far away. We will have to see how good their new pitching coach is.
If there were another item on the wish list, it is that Keston Hiura continue to be absolutely amazing. When the drafted him, it was known he had a really good bat and not that much of a glove. Looking back, the only thing wrong with that scouting report is that it undersells his bat.
Hiura is not ready to take over second base yet which is upsetting because there is room right now. However, he is not that far away either. It needs to be hoped that he will continue his bat development, and also found at least a little bit of a glove.
With the reigning MVP and a young team that already knows what it takes to win the division, the Brewers can be scary next year. They are consistently underrated, which they use to their benefit. Though it will be hard to count them out in 2019.
