With the first Spring Training games approaching, the season of MLB free agency is coming to a close. Unfortunately, there are still several outstanding players who have yet to be given opportunities to play in 2019.

In this second season of odd MLB free agency, the sheer number of top players who are still unemployed are enough to field a team.

Hopefully, all of these players will be signed by someone. But at this point, they’re out there looking for employment.

With Manny Machado finally off the board, and off to San Diego, players could begin to drop off, including Bryce Harper, who also is rumored to have several offers on the table.

Nearly all of the players who are still available have been to All-Star Games or have Gold Glove and/or Silver Slugger awards. If they haven’t won any awards, they have been to the postseason and might even have a World Series ring.

My all-unemployed team does not have 25 men on the roster. I intentionally left players like Jose Reyes and Hanley Ramirez off of my rosters, even though they were available for 1st base and 3rd base. Instead, I shuffled players from other positions. I also chose not to have a full bullpen or a bench.
